hannibal Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 (edited) i want to congradulate all how has made black shark possible... i want to inquire about multiplayer... now that dcs black shark will be released soon, it was stated that DCS black shark supports up to 16 online players for multiplayer... should future modules of DCS, will this mean that it will still be limited to 16 online players? i.e., 8x A-10A's, 4xKa-50's, and 4xAH-64A's for a total of 16 online players utilizing vehciles??? or does it mean 16x A-10A's, plus 16x Ka-50's plus 16x AH-64A's for a total madness of 48 online players... any info about dedicated server will be nice also, besides the "will be addresses in the next module"... xhaos Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I hope it means that their netcode isnt optimized YET to the point of being able to support more players with real time info since its based on LOFC. Also i would like to add a question about future plans for voip radio communications support.
Pilotasso Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I asked that question before and the answer is, yes, you can play online no matter what the module because every module will be made compatible by means of another module OR by a free compatibility patch. Cheers. .
GGTharos Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 A dedicated server will be addressed in a future module. Sorry, that's all the info there is. As for the actual number of players, there's no hard limit to how many can connect to the server. joey45 Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 As for the actual number of players, there's no hard limit to how many can connect to the server. Connection Speed and Hard/w depending then... The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Boberro Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Is the code (multiplayer) more stable than Lo multi? Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
hannibal Posted October 10, 2008 Author Posted October 10, 2008 (edited) thanks for the replies.... so if there was a DCS: Apache... that will mean that it is optimal for 16 players, where a total of 8 rotor crafts used, 8xAH-64A, each of which has one pilot and one gunner...
