Has The TOO Mode functionality changed with the AGM-88C HARM??

Just curious is all. I was testing some timing in a mission that I am building and found that the "2" code for the Fansong Radar doesn't appear on the HARM page while in the TOO Mode, even though it is displayed in on the RWR page.

Not trying to be smart, but were you facing the emitter? The Harms do have a limited FOV.

I'm curious about this to. Been getting locked on by a sa2 but can never find it in TOO mode.

Yes, directly at it. Just outside of the range ring of the Guideline, according to the SA page.

I was able to knock out the SA2's FanSong2 radar in PB mode. It was visible on RWR but not on HARM's TOO page.

I marked the clip to start at 3:10 (PB shot at FS radar)

Well the Viper dosen't have any kind of sensor fusion. The Hornet TOO is probably more efficient because the RWR talks to the HARM. My guess is that the HARM uses the RWR data to decide what to scan for. The ASPJ is also tied in, in some way.

Do you have any proof of that? The RWR is supposed to talk to the HARM in SP/PB mode (which indeed is missing in the Viper), not in TOO. That's supposed to be exclusively the HARM seeker head afaik.

It may be a bug, I was in a hell of a duel with an SA2 the other day and it never would show up for the HARM despite locking and launching on me. I eventually JDAM’d it.
