LunchyBoy Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Howdy yall, im just trying to reload my dcs and i keep running into this error would yall by any chance know anything. Thanks! autoupdate_log.txt
silverdevil Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 (edited) this is perhaps blocked by AV? what do you use for AV? it may be as easy as adding exceptions. Quote A hash mismatch is when you have two pieces of data and their corresponding hashes, you expect the two pieces of data to be the same and therefore also expect their hashes to be the same but the hashes are different (a mismatch) thus showing that the data also isn't the same. it looks like the files in question are liveries. i believe that the contents of _downloads can be deleeted and then an update can be reattempted. i am not completely sure about this though. Flappie Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Try deleting this folder, "G:\Games\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\_downloads\Sounds.edc/", then launch DCS to resume the update. ---

I just use windows defender and ive deleted the files a couple of times with no results.
LunchyBoy Posted June 16, 2021 Author Posted June 16, 2021 autoupdate_log.txttired with both methods and this is the error i got back. What would i look for in my anti virus?
silverdevil Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 as a sysadmin, we sometimes have a vendor blame problems with their software on AV. so the best test to prove this is to disable AV while you are trying to install. if it works, then you probably have your culprit. then the idea is to add exceptions for the folders getting blocked. there are lots of posts where adding exceptions are suggested.
