Well if you translate the posts in the Russian forums it says the *1C* download is not "prepared" yet and probably next week.

 

The original post from Wags suggested there would be an Eagle download version in addition to the 1C one, sooooooooo if you'd like a little optimism perhaps the Eagle Version will be DL'able soon but the 1C version will take longer.

 

Heh - think I'm stretching the boundaries of optimism there :P

 

Regardless of all that, last minute release delays seem to be par for the course with entertainment software companies now. It should in any normal operation, have been possible to look at the state of the release last night before going home and say "this won't be ready" and from there a quick forum post. Better yet, it should have been possible last week to say that and not get everyone here refreshing.

 

Still since Black Shark is the only "game" in town I guess we're waiting...

Thats what i meant, i was just unclear as where to buy the Russian version when released as chizh was'nt talking about the DCS webshop download.

 

Not having a go at ED or anyone else, just curious. :)

hm... I have no idea... I just figured one thing though, I think I might be little over my head thinking I'll be able to make good use of russian version... it's so hard to understand anything in russian for me! Using this online tranlators is not very convinent either... not to mention hanging here right now thinking somehow DL version will be ready any second :) but actually watching the grass grow will not make it grow any faster and that's exactly what I think I'm doing right now :D

 

I better either go to sleep now or watch some TV or something as refreshing these forums every minute is not helpfull :(

Been playing FSX for tha last year! And, as the download will almost certainly not be available until next week, I'm headind straight back to FSX! Might as well do something useful with my time :D

I agree completelywhat is a few months compared to the years we have waited, besides I think it's wrong to start bitching and moaning when there finally is a new super detailed simulation out.

 

This is a niche games that requires a lot more work than the annual releases like the EA Sports series (Not demeaning it I play Madden like a sucker).

Unfortunately not, still no plans for an F-14 sim, I take what I can get, and try to enjoy myself.

Well, anyway, I think it's okay to wait years with everybody else, but it's a *lot harder* to wait 1/4 year and more while others are already playing it.

I agree Skipper, Still there are other cool stuff around, I will propably be getting T-34 vs Tiger aswell, just to keep me busy. and my wife still wants to get into some dogfighting in IL-2. I think I'm fairly lucky that I have very diverse interests.

in some aspect YES ( playing like driver, guner etc)

but i don't like demage model, i can't understand it, is it ok, or not!?

 

for example, i play SOLDIERS HEROES OF WW2, (RTS ) and i think it have better demage model then Tiger vs T34!

why?

because, Tiger vs T34, there is no visual track demage, body hols etc...just hiting and hiting and...untill it is destoyed! (like 1pts, 20 pts.....)

 

Soldiers-RTS? you can demage tracks, see hols on tank body, demage gun etc...

Real TIme Strategy have those moments but Simulation don't!?

 

then: AI of soldiers in TvsT, like chinkens without heads, waiting to be killed...

AT gun: nothing interesting about them...

 

in one phrase: as tank driver simulation- good, as tank combat simulation- not good
