1. While firing gunpods, there's muzzle flash only on the left side pod i believe.

 

2. I know there are lots of issues with nights in DCS in terms of lighting (day-lighted ground dust and gun smoke, models not illuminated by airfield lights an so on), but there's no ilumination (inside and outside) from guns muzzle flashes. And gun smoke from fixed gun is day-lighted.

They flash on both sides, it's just inconsistent, and the smoke sometimes hides it.

 

They both seem to be using the old effects, maybe they'll be improved.

Reproduced, the muzzle flash doesn't seem to illuminate the fuselage of the helicopter, nor does it seem to illuminate either cockpit.

This is what i see every time. Minor thing, but i have an eye for those details

I see on both sides, but sometimes one side might not show.

 

I also don't see muzzle flashes that large from the gun pods.
