How to better details om planes in VR

My problem isn't spotting planes as much as IDing them. Even at 300 meters I can zoom and stare and the plane is mostly just dark.

 

Can't spot yellow noses or any real detail. 

Are there any shadow options one can use to just lighten up the planes.

 

I play on G2, and shadows are on low.

i9900k @4700 RTX 2080TI/OC 32gig ram. 

 

Textures high.

Terrain Textures high.

View distance and water medium

Shadows low.

MSAA x2

Cockpit 1024

All the stuff not related to VR off. 

Ground Textures flat.

2.4 or 2.5i think. The rest of the world is perfect fine, light level wise. But planes just seem dark until you get within mabye 150 yards or so. Then details like colours start to show.

No mods,  no skins nothing.

Delete fxo and metashaders ?
