sobe Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 The control indicator in the upper right corner has 4 letters. I know that the far left letter is for the yaw control, but what do the other letters stand for and how do you use them to control your flight? jonsky7 Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 (edited) Yaw, Roll, Pitch, and Altitude They are a repeat of this panel, they indicate how much work the "autopilot" is doing to the controls, the autopilot has limited authority, if the lines are at the top or bottom of the display, the system has ran out of authority. You can turn the knobs, there's no keybinds for them... yet, but they do pretty much the same thing as the trim. Except yaw, with yaw turned on the autopilot uses the "rudder" to try and maintain heading, you can turn the knob to adjust your heading. Or turn off yaw, adjust to new heading, turn yaw on. Nealius Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 Which letter refers to which channel? I wanted to bind these to my HOTAS, but the "autopilot channel K" naming was completely unhelpful as I don't know which letter corresponds to yaw/roll/pitch/altitude.
ataribaby Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 (edited) He told you already, Yaw, Roll, Pitch, and Altitude. In this order. Naming follow real helicopter instruments. Edited June 21, 2021 by ataribaby
TomChaai Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 (edited) H is actually the Russian N, направление, heading. (It isn't the exact definition of heading in Russian aviation terminology, but this is close enough) K is крен, roll T is тангаж, pitch B is Russian V, высота, altitude Edited June 21, 2021 by TomChaai 2
Nealius Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 (edited) 6 hours ago, ataribaby said: He told you already, Yaw, Roll, Pitch, and Altitude. In this order. Naming follow real helicopter instruments. He didn't specify that they were listed in the same order as the controls indicator (not visible). But thanks for belittling me for asking a question. Edited June 21, 2021 by Nealius
ataribaby Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 (edited) What? Nobody belittling you. I just wanted let you know it is in same order. BTW original response even specified that - "They are a repeat of this panel.." Edited June 21, 2021 by ataribaby
