MRTX Posted July 2, 2021 Posted July 2, 2021 On my recent flights with the A-10C, I noticed that the sonic boom sound of the GAU-8 projectiles can be heared before they even pass by. This can be easily observed when switching over to 3rd person view of a gun run target, and positioning yourself perpendicular to the attacking aircraft. When doing so, the first thing you'll normally hear is the sonic boom "crackling" noise of the projectiles, and normally after half a second delay you can see the projectiles impacting the target. I'm surely no expert in phisics, but this obviously shouldn't be the case. 1
ED Team NineLine Posted September 8, 2021 ED Team Posted September 8, 2021 I'll look into it, thanks. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
ED Team btd Posted September 9, 2021 ED Team Posted September 9, 2021 There is a small error in the calculation, which becomes noticeable at the long distances. So you are definitely right. We know about it and will fix it. But I cannot promise that it will be done soon, this must be done at the level of the core sound engine. So we need our main programmers to do it, but they are still busy with more urgent tasks. Anyway thanks for your report! 1 5 Best regards, Kanstantsin Kuzniatsou (btd) https://soundcloud.com/btd
