I usually use game music. If you got any game OSTs, that usually never trips Youtube's copyright witchcraft if that's your concern.

Following. Using music can get dicey on YT. Some record labels just put ads on your videos and/or block the music in certain countries, and others will give you copyright strikes. I don't know of any database that lists which labels are smarter about utilizing content creators for ad revenue instead of punishing them. Most of the royalty-free stuff out there on Soundcloud isn't very good.

Game OSTs can be hit-or-miss. Nintendo won't copyright strike you, but they will put ads on your video.

Makes me wonder how all the world militaries get away with using big-name artists in their Hornet Balls, Rhino Balls, Raytheon Awards, Rafale Chillout, etc. videos.

I should have added that caveat.

Two game series who I recommend and I haven't had issue with yet are the first two Homeworlds and underrated PS1 gem Treasures of the Deep.

Of course my reach is nil, so I could be wrong. The track in use here is Safe Passage off of the Treasures OST.
