For the love of god!! A courtroom stenographer would be challenged to take down the nine line in DCS in one go.

 

Now try to do it in VR, writing blind 10 fingers system into the scratchpad mod while flying... 

 

Probably the easiest solution would be to leave the nine line displayed text up for at least 60 seconds.

 

Next easiest might be to have a "pease repeat" key immediately after the text having been read.

 

The very best solution would be to have the nine line automatically added to the kneeboard. How hard could that be? Common, your pros, right?

FYI: This is actually exactly what the VAICOM kneeboard extension does for you. Very helpful tool, especially for us VR users.

 

But I agree with your wish, this feature should be implemented in the core game without having to pay for additional software.

I actually used VAICOM years ago, but I had issues with it that could never be solved, so I stopped using it.

 

Is it possible to implement VIACOM for VoiceAttack only to get the kneeboard functionality?

Well, in DCS you can definitely enter/access the VAICOM interactive kneeboard by pressing the regular kneeboard key ("K" iirc).

 

But once you have it opened I personally wouldn't know how to access the various different VAICOM kneeboard sub-pages other then by voice (e.g. you say "JTAC page", "Tanker page", "Flight page", etc., and it opens up the respective sub-page)

 

Considering you already own VAICOM and VA, you could just give it a try, as the kneeboard extension itself is only a few $

I just key in the coordinates while the JTAC is talking. Your pilot also does a read back as part of the sequence too. But having a “say again” option would be great for the radio comms.
