fsweekend_2008_banner.jpg(click the image)

Sebur (German forum member will know him) and I will be at the FS-Weekend 1 & 2 November 2008 in the Aviodrome at Lelystad Airport near Amsterdam/Netherlands.

(Sebur -second from right, Winner of the "TigerSpiritAward" at the LLTM'08 and partner of Leftside Limited- He is the distributor of my stuff on the German market.http://www.sebuga.de/ )

We will manly stick together with the DutchFlankers and of cause Jim and Groove, and last but not least Dee (what would the simulation enthusiast do without a strong Woman in the Background !?)

You can fly BlackShark at 3 systems and you can also Test,Touch ect. All my modded controls.

Sebur and I will also spend much time in strolling around at the Expo and Shoot Videos, taking pictures making interviews- mainly to have a reason to throw out dusty and old Videos at our web pages and exchange them with new ones (and trap you long enough at our sites to convince you to become a customer :D ) . And to support you with latest infos and reviews for long dark winter nights.:)

We have already a plan what to focus on but maybe someone of you have very special interest and is not able to be there. So I can throw a Eye on it and maybe (when its worth it) do a little review about it.

If you have some suggestions than post it!

It's two days time but I know from my own experience that time passes so quickly by especially when there is so much to see (click the Floor plan):

Also keep in mind that I'm in the first instance a normal visitor.

So if you interested to talk with me It would be a good Idea If you contact me first that we can do it without a hurry.

Thanks for reading and See you Soon!

And I would like to take a group foto with so much forum members as possible!

PS: Has someone Free Tickets or a accreditation for me and Sebur?:D

The event was imho the best of all FSweekends i had,

it was really fantastic and an honor to meet Jim, Groove, Urze, my fellow DFDT mates and last but not least Sebur, my crazy Russian friend! (although Urze did match him:)).

Time flys when your having fun, so before i noticed it, the event was already history.

But i hope to see you all at the LLTM Ahaus next year

Show AAR

Hey fellas, i see there is a dedicated thread for this years FSWeekend Show (http://www.fsweekend.com) so i thought i could add my AAR in here :)

After visiting the Simware Expo last year we decided to visit the FSWeekend on this turn. So we packed our Hardware and DCS:Black Shark to show the folks which usually fly MS FS what we have to offer.

We had support from XFighter seat who provided us with the excellent Seat (http://www.xfighterseat.com) and Left-Side Limited's Urze who provided us with his awesome stick extensions which were tested by quite some folks over the two days. Thanks for this guys.

Additional support was provided by our friends from the Dutch Flanker Display Team (http://www.dutch-flankers.net).

As soon as the doors opened people flooded in to check what the Simworld has to offer. We had the first people sitting down to try out Black Shark. We had positive responses all the time. People wanted to buy the software right away. Suprisingly many people didn't knew what TrackIR is, some wanted to buy it right away too.

We also had some real world pilots and helo pilots flying which were suprised by the flight model. Some people asked if this is an addon for MS Flight Simulator and we had to explain that we have a standalone product. Suprisingly most children were better pilots than the adults, and we're talking about the simulation mode here. See Urzes video about this kid which actually flies Lockon too :)

We had two station for the audience to try out, one Simulation Mode and one with Arcade Mode with a joypad as input device. As soon as we telled the visitors that its the same game and you can choose which mode you like they were pleasantly suprised. We had one guy coming back again and again flying around in arcade mode and killing stuff with his immortal Ka-50 :).

As a summary this weekend was a full success in my opinion. We reached out for people who arent nerds like we are and they want the game. Im sure we created some new combat flight sim fans.

Additionally you would be suprised how many people are silent lurkers here for years, simply checking the forums and making their opinion. At least i was suprised.

I would also like to thank Dee, Marijana, Jim, Urze, Sebur and the whole Dutch Flanker Team for this awesome event. See you at the LLTM 2009 :)

Pics will follow shortly!

Interesting rudder in the right hand corner of the photo, I wonder what model is it?

Sebur's using CH and Urze's HOTAS mod if I'm not wrong! So I believe CH ain't too confortable for use with centerlined stick. I bought Saitek's Rudders just because foot rests are spread enough to make flying confortable!

Small correction: Alex wasn't there (he was sick), the one in the right, next to me, is Joris aka Lightsniper.
