US Navy doesn't want to buy Super Hornet anymore. They want to invest in naval variant of NGAD instead

They announced it last year already.

It's about time though (as that platform was the wrong choice IMHO), but good luck pushing that through the Congress.

According to US Navy 4th generation airframes, regardless of upgrades, will not be survivable in 30 years.

Too short legs, no weapons bay, big RCS, big heat signature, low electric output to support the new electric devices, too slow, no supercruise...

Super bug has been developed, instead of the new high performance navy fighter, because Soviet Union collapsed and nobody needed the new and expensive advanced high performance "Tomcat of the XXI century". Raptor for the USAF has been nearly cancelled as well.

The Superhornet is getting an upgrade, it will last well beyond 30 years because of it.

Sure, but that doesn't mean that buying brand new Bug airframes NOW makes much sense anymore. Existing Superbugs will soldier on for decades with some upgrades, but the tip of the spear may need to be something else. I hope it will be something more than an F-35.... at a more reasonable pricetag for what you get.

Well, maybe Germany steps in and buys some Super Hornets before the production lines have to shut down...

Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

True, but Germany may be wanting to get something more stealthy itself... then again, cost is ALWAYS a factor for any aircraft purchase, and stealth is... pricey!

Current plan of Germany's DoD is to order in FY23 a number of dual-seat Superbugs for nuclear and Tranche 4 Typhoons for conventional striking tasks (Ability to deliver B61 was a hard requirement) plus either Growlers or yet more Typhoons for EWR tasks. This needs to pass the yet-to-get-elected Parliament though, so anything can happen. Ministers gave the F35 a hard pass repeatedly tho, so that's very unlikely to happen.
