After intercepting the fencer I wanted to get gas before RTB, so I followed all the instructions up to when Flip tells Smoke to refuel first, but he just stays in formation, doesn't go there and refuel.

Hope it is fixed with today's update, there was an AI AAR bug in DCS that is supposed to be resolved as of today.

Same thing happened with me today. Smoke was supposed to refuel first, but just stayed in formation with me.

Also, when tanking on the way back, the tanker keeps descending into clouds, and doing these sudden 10 degree dives. Said initially it was holding 12,000 feet (down from the initial altitude), but descended into IMC, and then below the cloud layer, all the way down to 6,000 feet or so. (I guess it started a landing sequence before we could get to it? )

edit: Also a similar(?) problem in mission 3. On the way back, Smoke just started drifting into a strange far away abreast formation, before he just descended and ejected (guess he ran out of fuel), just before we were gonna tank. I had approximately 3,000lbs left at that point, guess he had used more fuel than me.

OK, I'll try to have a look, but AAR logic is 100% on DCS side. And sorry for the late reply, I had very busy holidays and had to spend much more time AFK than I would havel liked...

Did you ever figure that one out?

At 12k feet the weather is clear, refueling is doable even if at night. Now, at around 6000 feet, in the middle of the clouds, heavy winds.. I was able to find the tanker and connect to refuel, but never managed to top off... Just connected for a little moment and then I lost sight of the tanker forever.

Doesn't seem to make sense. Why go into the clouds if you can fly a little higher and get better weather?
