Guest Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 I am using ACM-PAL mode alot when in dogfight but it lock onto boats as well, should it do this or is it a bug?

Because in ACM mode it's a simple pulse radar that locks onto the next possible thing and a huge metallic ship on the ocean stands out on the radar like a torch in the dark. The Tomcat radar in pulse search mode is excellent to detect ships up to 200nm. A RIO can see them on his radar display (the DDD, not the TID!) and even mark their position.
