Back to desktop on loading

I have a problem that sometimes occurs when starting the Beta. As it gets to completion but before it shows the main menu, I am sent back to the desktop. The only way I can get into the program is via Task Manager.  I originally thought it was something to do with DCOM but have given the application all permissions. I have found this line in the log:

Hi, it looks like the French Pack mod error which occured in a previous version (pre v4.5) when DCS 2.7 came in. If you have installed this mod, disable it or uninstall it and see if your issue goes away.

Not sure what the French Pack Mod is so that is not causing the problem as it is not installed. IK will look at other mods to see if it is the problem.

The simplest way to test whether it's caused by a mod is this one:

1. Go to Saved Games.
2. Rename your "DCS" (or DCS.openbeta) folder into "DCS_backup".
3. Launch DCS.

Of course, it only works if your Mods are installed in your Saved Games/DCS... folder.

 

Don't delete the backup folder for it contains your custom controls.

So, after doing what Flappie said(thanks for your help Flappie) I think the problem lies in my Config/options file. When I run with the default options created after renaming my DCS saved games folder it has no problem. But when I replaced the options file the error came back. I have attached the options file to see if anyone can see a problem with it. I would like to know what the problem is so I do not replicate it.

@gottheteeshirt is this the options file that is causing the crash? does the game run with default options and not look like there is an issue? i compared the attached file and mine and see some differences like graphics settings. you could just use default options.lua and fix the bits in the gui. here is mine for reference.  options.lua don't replace yours with it because video aspect is different and it probably will not work.
