Joystick Can't be Hidden

In either Zone V or Fear the Bones, hitting the backspace key to hide the joystick has no effect.  Is there any way to remove the joystick so I can see the HSI better?  This keystroke works in any other non-Reflected mission it seems.

The Spacebar and the Backspace keys have special use within the triggers logic of a mission. It's been a while since I flew the Tomcat, but clicking on the stick's column doesn't hide it?

It's because 'backspace' is reserved for trigger inputs in the campaign. Change the key assignment in your control settings and it should work.
