Tomahawk anti-ship missiles and the ability to edit ship payloads

I know the Tomahawk anti-ship missles were retired in 1994, and I don't know if any of the Ticos or Burkes we have could carry them or not. Frankly I don't give a fine flying flip as the 1980s Iowas could carry them.

I don't know what the standard load out would be, but if it would be nice to alter the load out

Tomahawk has a standard, all ship capable to use tomahawk can use them.

The standard load on Tycos and other DDGs has:

- Bunker Hill (VLS Tycos): 122 msls total, est. loadout 96 SM2MR Blk II/Blk III/Blk IV, 26 Tomahawk. Early 90s: VLS cranes deleted - each Mk41 VLS launcher increases to 64 vice 61 cells - 128 msls total, estimated Mk41 loadout 32 Tomahawk, 96 SM2MR Blk II/Blk III/Blk IV. Some replace 8 SM2 with 8 SM3 Block IA (BDM update).

- Arleigh Burke Flight IIA Technology Insertion DDG: 96 msls total, typical loadout 38 SM2MR, 6 SM3 Blk IA/IB, 16 SM6, 32 ESSM, 4 VL ASROC, 24 Tactical Tomahawk.

Funny thing is, the TLAM-C we have in DCS is incorrectly referred to as the BGM-109B which is the TASM, corroborated by the wikipedia entry (though describes the guidance system of the land-attack variants).

However (true to form), DCS doesn't tell us the specific block present, though given that we have mid-ish 2000s - 2010s ships the following should be present:

  • RIM-65M-5 SM-2MR Block IIIB (circa 1998)
  • RIM-156A SM-2ER Block IV (circa 2000)
  • RIM-161 SM-3A/B/C Block I/IA/IB (circa 2005/2007/2014)
  • RIM-162A ESSM Block I (circa 2004)
  • RIM-174A ERAM SM-6 Block I (circa 2014)
  • RGM-109C Tomahawk Block III TLAM-C (circa 1994)
  • RGM-109D Tomahawk Block III TLAM-D (circa 1996) - for the previousl block there was also a graphite dispensing variant, intended to disable electrical infrastructure, other TLAM-Ds carry 166 BLU-97/B CEBs.
  • RGM-109E Tomahawk Block IV TACTOM
  • RUM-139 VL-ASROC carrying the Mk 46 NEARTIP Mod. 5A, Mk 50 Barracuda Mod. 0 ALWT or Mk 54 LWT

Editing ship payloads is definitely something I agree with, though for ships where it most applies (ships with the Mk 41 VLS), we're missing a large amount of their payloads at present. It would also be useful to configure initial number of reloads (if applicable) in missions where the mission begins with some weapons already fired.
