Firing 2 X SLAM-ER at same long range AG radar target.

SLAM-ER stores prep for each munition. TGT:TOO  EFUZE: IN

In AG master mode.

Selected and designated static AG on land using EXP2 subpage. 50 nm.

Got IN RANG que, and off the missiles went.

First fired unit flew to target and hit it.

Second unit, fired a second after first, just went along straight line.

Do we have to redesignate so that subsequent release, after 1st weapon release, gets programmed by the fire control computer?

I assume that your first SLAM-ER was in TOO mode, since you fired at a designated target. PP and TOO are selected per station, did you make sure the second station was also changed to TOO before firing?

Although if I think about it, without a valid PP target, the second missile's release should perhaps be inhibited?

Both SLAM-ER were set TOO. I know that each station has to have its own program.

So I was perplexed as to why second SLAM-ER , with TOO and a designated gnd tgt via AG radar EXP2, went straight.

How does one set PP for SLAM-ER? As PP targets get set during mission planning.

You can use a precise waypoint and wpndsg the point using TOO mode to make it easier to send the GPS weapons to the same target point.
