Toni Carrera Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 Hi All, When I use the 'SA' on the left DDI, I am missing the bottom right hand information relating to BRA etc. I assume this is perhaps due to an advisory message on the left hand side of the screen, but I do not know how to get rid of, or supress it Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated Thank you Toni Carrera (Ice Rhino) ThrustMaster HOTAS Warthog Throttle & A10C Stick, ThrustMaster F/A-18C Stick, ThrustMaster TFRP Pedals, ThrustMaster Cougars x 2, fitted to CubeSim USB Screens, TrackIR 4 Active LED & Cap Reflector, Stream Deck XL Intel® Core™ i7-5820K 12 Core Processor, 32GB RAM, 1 x 500GB SSD, 2 x 256GB SSD, 1 x 1TB SSD 4 x 4TB Western Digital Mechanical. 2 x ASUS GTX 1080's SLI, ASUS 29" Ultrawide flanked by 2 x 22" IPS Monitors
Swift. Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 That BIT message indicates there are BITs that do not show a 'GO' status. If you navigate to the BIT page on the SUPP menu, you will see several flashing lines of text in the centre. Click on STOP (top right) to stop these flashing and clear the BIT advisory. 3 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2

rob10 Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 Realize though that ANY advisory message that shows up is going to cause that black line across (including Autopilot modes engaged for example). Only way to get rid of it is clear the Advisory condition (in case of the A/P, that means turning it off, so in reality you're just going to have to live with it). Apparently that's the way it is IRL.
Brass2-1 Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 While annoying I do believe this function is correct to the real jet. I originally used the SA page on the LDDI, but now keep it on the AMPCD for several reasons-this being one. In addition, when performing A-G missions it’s common to need stores page and FLIR page, and the ability to toggle back and forth between SA for SA and HSI for Run-in/range symbology on the AMPCD is useful. Thus for consistency I keep the SA/HSI n my AMPCD full time. 1
Frederf Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 There are advisory and caution messages that come in "chunks". The advisory chunks get stacked from left to right along that bottom area. When an advisory occurs and then extinguishes it still leaves behind a blank black chunk which blocks the rest of the display. This is so that a brief advisory is not effectively invisible since it leaves behind the blank chunk. As advisories come and go you'll have a stack of chunks that are a mixture of black-blank and ones with words. A short press of the master caution button will clear the master caution but it won't "rack and stack" the chunks. A long press of master caution will remove the blank-black chunks and then collapse the remaining readable chunks to the left. 1
Toni Carrera Posted September 12, 2021 Author Posted September 12, 2021 Understood, both of your responses, and I thank you accordingly I will shift it down to the AMPCD for good, I was just trying to not spend too much time head down while I am learning how to understand the mass of symbology present in a complex situation Toni Carrera (Ice Rhino) ThrustMaster HOTAS Warthog Throttle & A10C Stick, ThrustMaster F/A-18C Stick, ThrustMaster TFRP Pedals, ThrustMaster Cougars x 2, fitted to CubeSim USB Screens, TrackIR 4 Active LED & Cap Reflector, Stream Deck XL Intel® Core™ i7-5820K 12 Core Processor, 32GB RAM, 1 x 500GB SSD, 2 x 256GB SSD, 1 x 1TB SSD 4 x 4TB Western Digital Mechanical. 2 x ASUS GTX 1080's SLI, ASUS 29" Ultrawide flanked by 2 x 22" IPS Monitors
