JF17StandaloneDTC.gif

Expand the use of the JF-17 with this Standalone DTC! At any time you can access the Special Menu options and ALL of the comm radio presets that are not normally modifiable within the game itself. You have the options to Import, Export, and even Backup all of these settings. Check out the pics and check it out!

So here's the use case demo. You turn on DCS. You join a server. You look at the briefing and then jump in a JF-17. During your preflight you are like, "oh no!", the mission maker didn't put all the radio freqs we need in comm channel presets 1 thru 21! You hop over to the Jeff DTC, type in the presets you need and write a note per preset (like "GaW common"). Then you hit export, respawn, and there you go! You have all the radio comm presets you need. The notes are an added bonus. The utility saves the notes with the preset comm file so when you hop on a different server and repeat the process above you know which channels you have modified and what they are for, assuming you wrote a note for it.
There are 200 preset channels so can effectively have the presets set for all of your favorite servers all at the same time.

Feel free to contact me on the ED forums (Bailey) or better yet, on Discord (Bailey#6230). Remember that comments, questions, critiques, and requests are always welcome! Huge thank you to Deka for the awesome dev cycle of the JF-17.

Hi Bailey,

is there any way that a beginner (who's willing to do some Goggling 😉) could modify something you have already made, to suit the Apache?  I am wanting to have a waypoint auto loader (using the F10 map) but TheWay doesn't pass the pure script check the server I fly on has.

Any ideas?

Hmmm. To my knowledge, there isn't a step-by-step on Google. What you can do is take a look at the idea and code in my DMPS utility for the M2000C. Then you will have to find an example of how to make something push buttons in DCS. That can be found in DCSTheWay (via the DCS plugin system), or DCS-BIOS, or you can check out my L39 VoiceAttack profile that leverages DCS-BIOS in its own way. With a combo of the above, it should give you a good idea in how to make a DTC-like utility for the apache. I hope that helps.

That is incredibly useful and gracious!  Thank you so much.  I look forward to giving it a go.  The only thing I have done so far is some very basic stuff (largely following tutorials 🙂) in C#.  I have Visual Studio 2019.  Would that open your DMPS utility, or can you suggest the software I would need?

Have a great week.
