Beta version

Can find a general questions thread so I will put it here.  

 

Do Beta and Stable versions run on the same servers? As in, if I download the beta version, will I be able to play with people on stable standard version or are they separate servers?

They are separate, I believe you will find more servers on the beta, but I havent been on stable for a while.

I play VR only so not sure how stable the beta version compared to the normal version.  Thanks for the reply.

In general no. Sometimes stable is updated to the latest beta and then for a short period they share the same version number which then allows you to connect to players on both versions but in general, open beta only connects to open beta and stable only to stable.

Having played both, the 'more servers on the beta version' is a myth I'm my opinion.

Let's try to debunk the myth: stable and OB are currently identicial, and DCS shows 1095 public servers.

Now, we must wait for the next OB update to get an answer.
