Furiz Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 I think every aircraft spawned cold should spawn with wheel chocks be it on the carrier or not, just like the Hornet spawns on the carrier. Every airplane video or image I've seen where they are turned off they have wheel chocks, every one of them. This should be the case in DCS if possible, thanks! 1
cfrag Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Indeed - I'd like that very much as an option in ME for airfield spawns for any fixed wing. Do you happen to know if there is any way to add ckocks with Lua? Or do they have to be modeled for each plane separately, and controlled like other plane features?
Art-J Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 ^ I'm pretty sure tyey need to be modelled individually for each aircraft (even if invisible ones, like in Mosquito) and implemented in ground crew communications sub-menu accordingly (how else would you order for them to be removed)? i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
Tank50us Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 I mean, I know it's not modeled in DCS, but typically, removing the wheel chocks is supposed to be one of the last things that a pilot has done before they start rolling. Although depending on the design of the wheel chock in question, you can, at least in the real world, roll over the chock. However it's.... well.... not recommended.... Although one thing that would be nice in DCS is if they had some of the more 'standard' wheel chocks that can be applied to the aircraft regardless of country or aircraft design. Something like these: That way, unless the aircraft has them modeled, when you request the chocks be applied, these spawn a few inches/centimeters from your main gear tires.
