Play with the contrast settings. You can make the map darker and the text brighter, that helps my old eyes. And you can change the text colour. Or just turn the map off and keep the symbols.

It is very hard to see sometimes with the map on.

Yes, I always have to change the symbology colour to red, or make it a much darker green - BUT then the dark green is on other pages too which don't have the map background and are therefore difficult to read with the dark green on black background. I wish you could change symbology shade for just the EHSD without affecting other pages.

Hello, a good habit is to turn down the gain of the MPCD (it will make for a better map to text contrast).

On some hardware there is an overall readability issue with he texts, we are working on it.

It's not just a temporarily fix btw, in the real manual it is explained that before each flight, the pilot must adjust the gain and contrast of each MPCD to achieve correct readability, depending on the light condition of the mission 😉
