sLYFa Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 It's really annoying to try and land on the carrier with constant beeps and Jester nail call-outs. Right now I can turn the RWR off myself by adding the backseater RWR power keybind to the front pit. But since that won't be possible in the near future, it would be nice to have a Jester option for this. 2 i5-8600k @4.9Ghz, 2080ti , 32GB@2666Mhz, 512GB SSD
Super Grover Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 I know that this is a workaround, and we will think about adding it to the RWR modes menu, but as a temporary solution, you may consider using the volume knob http://www.heatblur.se/F-14Manual/cockpit.html#volume-tacan-command-panel 1 Krzysztof Sobczak Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
sLYFa Posted October 20, 2021 Author Posted October 20, 2021 Yeah along with silencing Jester thats the next best thing atm. Btw, if you turn the RWR off, the threat indicators on the windshield frame remain lit, not sure if this is correct. i5-8600k @4.9Ghz, 2080ti , 32GB@2666Mhz, 512GB SSD

sLYFa Posted October 20, 2021 Author Posted October 20, 2021 I'm talking about threat lights staying on after actually turning off the RWR (screen goes black, no sound regardless of volume setting), not the volume setting. i5-8600k @4.9Ghz, 2080ti , 32GB@2666Mhz, 512GB SSD
Japo32 Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Maybe I am wrong, but wasn't the RWR a very delicate instrument that don't like shakes too much? So it is recommended have it switch off during takeoffs and landings? it would be interesting to add then the feacture to switch it off and of course produce a failure if the takeoff or landing is too rough maybe? Thanks!
Wingmate Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 According to the checklist it is setup by the RIO during post start, before takeoff.
