I don't mean to be offensive, and I apologize if this post comes across that way, but what exactly do you expect this thread to achieve? Some exact timeline? If that is the case, how are you not aware that HB do not give long term deadlines because they notoriously miss them? If not, what's the goal? What's up with rushing to some future big feature when there hasn't been enough time to enjoy the latest big feature?

First is the Viggen patch next month and any hotfixes that come out of this week's patch.

After that, the visual models of the A and B need attention to even get things ready for "early" A and IRIAF, executive decisions have to be made as to how much can be changed/added, level of effort, and that will probably dictate what the earlier jets look like.

THEN, all the work done on the ALR-45 and any additional changes to reflect not having the ALQ-126 jammers enabled will need to be built on top of branching an early jet off, reworking the loadouts, and any other major backdating changes.

It's going to be months, I'd hope within 6 it'd be in testing but that may depend on how much stuff catches fire or gets broken by ED changing the core engine around again, like the cockpit lighting was.

I think I missed something.

This passage is taken from the roadmap posted on November 4, 2020:

"...We’ve repeated these ad nauseum, so we’ll spare you the entire bulleted list; but things like JESTER Lantirn, Forrestal and A-6 remain top priorities, and we greatly look forward to sharing more.

That said, however, we’ll be focusing on the following items for the next major patch later this winter:
Forrestal Class initial release
USN F-14A-135-GR (early) with ALR-45
IRIAF F-14A-95-GR with ALR-45, no TCS, no tanks
Refinement of F-14A based on release feedback
In-cockpit VR pilots..."

You have missed something, the fact that the next patch has been directly stated as being Viggen focused, and that the additional model work for the early jets has not yet been done and is tied with corrections to the existing models.

The guts of the ALR-45 apparently is done but the visual changes to support the early Tomcat are not. And those changes may also be tied with the updated pilot bodies as they would need to be integrated and animated at the same time anyways. The different TCS versions still need to be sorted out as well, since that also relates to the Iranian Tomcats.

There will probably be some updates to the roadmap and Trello soon as a couple of major deliverables have just released, so from now to November will likely be bugfixes and the Viggen changes as center of focus.

Yeah, seems like we got about half the list this patch, which is why I was wondering about the other stuff.
