need track replay APKWS trajectory defying physics

Does APKWS flies in RL as it does in DCS? For me it is totally defying phisycs by seemingly diving towards a point well short of target at the beginning, then gradually recovering, leveling out until the impact, even flying almost horizontally a few meter above the ground in the terminal phase. (I think JDAM had the same miracle, maybe even climbing, up his sleeves on the F-18 initially?).

I don't believe it happens like this in RL.
