Not much to say. The aircraft have ulimited battery charge from EPU (spent 2 days in x600 time acceleration) and EPU switch doesn't do anything.

So when you turn on the EPU it runs indefinitely? Or is that not what you mean?

If you start EPU and it finish to work - your DC power supply from battery will stop to be restricted by time, that's what i mean.

I can't test because I can't get the EPU to run on the ground. Expect within 2s of setting switch to ON the EPU Run Light and AIR Light will be on. With insufficient bleed air (< 75~80 RPM) such as a stopped engine, the HYDRAZN Light should also illuminate.

I love to do some experiments and tests in simulator and then compare to real life results from different sources like operation manuals and limit lists. So, I wanted to test my ability to glide without engine and to stop EPU either. But previously i set EPU switch to off before got ran out of fuel. EPU continued to work! I was a little bit confused and tried to cycle it (switch) but no effect on EPU. Then i launched cold start mission and after fuel stopped feeding engine and EPU got in i tried to switch it off and... Nothing happened. I accelerated time to 600x and waited first time for EPU stop, for second time i waited battery to discharge. Battery stand still for all this time.

EPU won't be disabled in flight by design. It doesn't matter if you set the switch to off. The only way to have it not auto-start in flight is to have it set to off since before takeoff and never set to norm/on after that.

EPU in flight acts as a source of electrical and hydraulic power, the hydraulic power requirement being a large part. The EPU fuel is only consumed as necessary if engine bleed air is insufficient to drive the turbine. The EPU fuel should deplete with engine off or at low enough RPM to not have enough bleed air pressure. I figured the best way to test it was simply to pop the EPU on from a cold start which should only require MAIN PWR - BATT and EPU - ON.

Tried as you said. You're completely right. I started to learn module couple of weeks ago, there is a lot to learn ahead. But there are one "but"... Infinite power from battery is problem on the ground too without EPU. So i hope ED will find out the reason. Again thanks for explanation of EPU on/off conditions.

If what we are talking about is how long the battery will last without a charge then if you have any information on this please feel free to PM me. I can not find any time related data for the battery.

thanks

When flying on AC battery only you should land within 30 minutes.. so at least 30 mminutes.
