Toni Carrera Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 Hi All, This issue is driving me crazy. I have a significant amount of information relating to Device ID's, Arg ID's, Command ID's etc etc, all for the F/A-18C. I used this list for pretty much programming everything in to my StreamDeck XL, with which I have no issues at all, no Keyboard HotKeys, proper interface commands When I use this information however for trying to set my bird up as I enter a mission, not a single thing works I am using the 'X:COCKPIT PERFORM CLICKABLE ACTION' trying various options, for example COCKPIT DEVICE: 5, COMMAND: 3009, and tried multiple options of 1, 0, -1, -0.1 The reason I am trying this, the particular one above, is that I have an issue where for some reason the Hook always starts in the down position I want to be able to program things such as TACAN, ATC, A/P BALT etc etc, but I just can't get anything to work. I can get the X: SET COMMAND 816 working to Active Pause on mission start, just nothing related to 'X:COCKPIT PERFORM CLICKABLE ACTION' Please can someone help me with this Toni Carrera (Ice Rhino) ThrustMaster HOTAS Warthog Throttle & A10C Stick, ThrustMaster F/A-18C Stick, ThrustMaster TFRP Pedals, ThrustMaster Cougars x 2, fitted to CubeSim USB Screens, TrackIR 4 Active LED & Cap Reflector, Stream Deck XL Intel® Core™ i7-5820K 12 Core Processor, 32GB RAM, 1 x 500GB SSD, 2 x 256GB SSD, 1 x 1TB SSD 4 x 4TB Western Digital Mechanical. 2 x ASUS GTX 1080's SLI, ASUS 29" Ultrawide flanked by 2 x 22" IPS Monitors

Toni Carrera Posted November 9, 2021 Author Posted November 9, 2021 Thanks Rudel, that seems to work, I used it with -1 and it raised the hook when I started the mission, so at least I can put that command at the beginning of everyone of my missions One thing I do not understand, is why there is not a way to export all the values for reference, the data clearly exists, but why no export or provided file from ED. I dont know ... probably ED sees no need, since the X: triggers are mostly intended for editing training missions and that type of mission is mostly created by the developers, not common users. Glad you could fix your mission, tough it seems strange that your Hornet spawns with the Hook down, mine doesnt do that. Toni Carrera Posted November 10, 2021 Author Posted November 10, 2021 Hi Rudel, I have not managed to fix my mission, Yes, I now have the fixed the issue where my hook always starts in the down position, thanks to you, but I still have the issue that I can't get any of the other options pre-set on mission start I want to be able to program things such as TACAN, ATC, A/P BALT etc etc so that is all taken care of as the mission launches. I am prepared to do all the ground work, I just do not know why anything I do with the clickable X: COCKPIT PERFORM CLICKABLE ACTION does not appear to work for all of the other stuff. I am going through every Training mission seeing if I can pull anything from there, but because they are interactive, all I see is highlight this, highlight that, and there appears to be no correlation between what is being high lighted and the clickable action obviously Please can someone advise, it must be possible to configure these things on Mission Start, even if I can just get BALT, ATC & ATTH configured, so my plane does not go nuts when the missions starts, that would be something Thanks Toni Carrera (Ice Rhino) ThrustMaster HOTAS Warthog Throttle & A10C Stick, ThrustMaster F/A-18C Stick, ThrustMaster TFRP Pedals, ThrustMaster Cougars x 2, fitted to CubeSim USB Screens, TrackIR 4 Active LED & Cap Reflector, Stream Deck XL Intel® Core™ i7-5820K 12 Core Processor, 32GB RAM, 1 x 500GB SSD, 2 x 256GB SSD, 1 x 1TB SSD 4 x 4TB Western Digital Mechanical. 2 x ASUS GTX 1080's SLI, ASUS 29" Ultrawide flanked by 2 x 22" IPS Monitors

Strange, just did a quick test with the TACAN and MFCD, and they do work on my DCS: You have to take care with timing issues, as DCS processes your trigger list once per second, so if you attempt to execute too many cockpit operations on a single trigger they may not work. That's why I setup the TACAN using three triggers, rather than just one. I'm attaching the mission, so you can test on your own DCS. If you mean between actions within a single trigger, then no, not possible. actions on separate triggers can be delayed by using the TIME SINCE FLAG condition. Toni Carrera Posted November 12, 2021 Author Posted November 12, 2021 (edited) Hi All, This is driving me nuts, I can't work this out, I wonder if someone wouldn't mind casting an expert eye over the trigger and tell me where I am being an idiot I am trying to do the following as the first few steps; 1. Mission Start - Flag On = 135 2. After a couple of seconds, A/P On, then select Option 3 on UFC (BALT) 3. After 4 seconds, TACAN On, Option 3 on UFC (A/A), enter 1, enter 5, Enter, On/Off = On, AMPCD Button 5 (TCN), Option 5 on UFC(CPL). Debug message to say completed 4. Puts the Hook up (I have an issue where it always starts in the down position on any mission I create). This is not an issue, just saying for information, but it works If anyone could take a quick look and tell me where I am being an idiot, I would truly appreciate it Thanks FA-18C-Mission-11-v01.miz Edited November 12, 2021 by Toni Carrera Toni Carrera (Ice Rhino) ThrustMaster HOTAS Warthog Throttle & A10C Stick, ThrustMaster F/A-18C Stick, ThrustMaster TFRP Pedals, ThrustMaster Cougars x 2, fitted to CubeSim USB Screens, TrackIR 4 Active LED & Cap Reflector, Stream Deck XL Intel® Core™ i7-5820K 12 Core Processor, 32GB RAM, 1 x 500GB SSD, 2 x 256GB SSD, 1 x 1TB SSD 4 x 4TB Western Digital Mechanical. 2 x ASUS GTX 1080's SLI, ASUS 29" Ultrawide flanked by 2 x 22" IPS Monitors
Sedlo Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Hey @Toni Carrera Just taking a quick look, not only do you have to make a clickable action to press the button, you then have to make a clickable action to "un-press" the button, as well. Value 1, then another action to make value -1 (or 0, depending on your action). Otherwise the button remains pressed in and the other functions may not work, as the button is being pressed continuously. To make the Hornet autopilot set to BARO hold, do this. TRIGGER CONDITION ACTION Press AP Button Time Since 135 = 1 Perform Clickable 3001, 1 Un-Press AP Button Time Since 135 = 2 Perform Clickable 3001, -1 Press Baro OSB Time Since 135 = 3 Perform Clickable 3012, 1 Un-Press Baro OSB Time Since 135 = 4 Perform Clickable 3012, -1 You can sometimes do multiple clickable actions in a single trigger, others you can't. I can't see a rhyme or reason for some of them, so you just got to do trial and error. (BTW, your mission started for me with the hook down, not sure what's going on with your configuration, but you might want to check your hotas bindings or something). One other thing, I would avoid having a condition in the first MISSION START trigger. Just incase you want to spawn your player in later, your flag won't fire in that situation. I've attached an edited version of your mission to show you the autopilot button press logic. FA-18C-Mission-11 BUTTON PRESS.miz 1 My Youtube Channel MY DCS MISSIONS

Toni Carrera Posted November 13, 2021 Author Posted November 13, 2021 OK, thusfar, thanks to Sedlo, I am munching my way through various Cockpit setups I would like. Bearing in mind the amount of time it takes, I would like to be able to save this off so I do not have a 100 of so steps to program every time I make a mission for myself So the natural question is, how do I export these, load them as part of a template, even if there is a section of modifying a mission file in NotePad++ and pasting it in there etc Toni Carrera (Ice Rhino) ThrustMaster HOTAS Warthog Throttle & A10C Stick, ThrustMaster F/A-18C Stick, ThrustMaster TFRP Pedals, ThrustMaster Cougars x 2, fitted to CubeSim USB Screens, TrackIR 4 Active LED & Cap Reflector, Stream Deck XL Intel® Core™ i7-5820K 12 Core Processor, 32GB RAM, 1 x 500GB SSD, 2 x 256GB SSD, 1 x 1TB SSD 4 x 4TB Western Digital Mechanical. 2 x ASUS GTX 1080's SLI, ASUS 29" Ultrawide flanked by 2 x 22" IPS Monitors
