Hi @Rudel_chw

So if look at your provided mission, apart from using a Flag 135 as the Time from Counter, nothing is different, from what I can see, between your and mine, apart from I have the -1 values to unclick the appropriate clickable action

As you can see from my last attachment, I just seem to be doing everything you are, just with -1 options too

Hi All,

In light of all this 'X:COCKPIT PERFORM CLICKABLE ACTION' carry on in order to set the cockpit options at the beginning of a mission, there must be a way to set a lot of these options at mission start-up. There are multiple training missions where a lot of configuration has already been done

How do I do that? Obviously it i possible due to the afore mentioned reasons

Thank you

Toni

@Toni Carrerayou can include them in a "MISSION START" type of trigger.  It works well for the simple things, such as gear/flaps/hook/radio channels.  But if you're doing complex things (like multiple MFD pages, multiple UFC presses), you need to have them separated by time.

I've discovered a workaround/solution that works for me, start in active pause and fire your triggers.

Download this mission and give it a go, see if this method works for you.  https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3319457/

Hi Sedlo,

Downloading 'Carrier Landing Practice Mission - Hornet Edition by Sedlo' now

I will check out what you mean from there

Thanks

Hi,

I do such aircraft preparation using both X:COCKPIT PERFORM CLICKABLE ACTIOn and X:SET COMMAND, and I place them on a ONCE trigger with no condition, so that it will be executed on the first execution cycle AFTER you have entered the aircraft. I don't use ON MISSION START triggers for this, as they get executed before entering the cockpit if you are using CLIENT aircrafts rather than PLAYER.

This is an example with an A-4E mission, but the Hornet should be similar:

The hardest part is collecting the different Command Codes that you need, but after those are gathered, the trigger itself isnt hard.

Best regards.

Hi @Rudel_chw

May I be cheeky and ask to see that mission file, purely for learning, obviously I would not dream of releasing, it is only for my learning purposes

Of course you can deny my request, but if I do not ask, I will not get the chance to see it

Thank you either way

I'm currently finishing this particular mission, give me a couple of days to finish it and then will send you a copy .. however, take note that it is for the A-4E, not the Hornet, and it's set on Marianas:

Hi Tony,

Sorry for the delay, I've now the mission ready and in a state that can be shared:

https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ai6cuX3YQI26iIw8zm4wo1H8gQ7sTg?e=thDK4V

(Can't attach it here since it is a bit large, with 8 MB)

Today's DCS update broke the ATC at this Marianas airbase, so if the ATC does not answer, just ignore it.

The first trigger is the one I use to set the aircraft cockpit just like it was left at the end of the previous mission on this series (M01 Cold Start), it's a pity that the ME does not allow comments to document the actions, so I describe them here:

Clickable action 1, 3030, 0.5  =  Adjust floodlights to 50% intensity

Clickable action 1, 3031, 1  =  Adjust Instruments backlight to 100% intensity

Clickable action 1, 3032, 1  =  Adjust Consoles backlight to 100% intensity

Set Command 10052 = Set Doppler Radar to STBY

Set Command 10059 = Nav Computer Selector CW 1 notch

Set Command 10101 = Master Exterior Lights ON - OFF

Set Command 10104 = Anti-Coll Light ON/OFF

Set Command 10105 = WING Light Bright/Dim/OFF

Set Command 10106 = TAIL light switch - BRIGHT-DIM-OFF

Set Command 10107 = FUS light switch - BRIGHT-DIM-OFF

Set Command 10124 = AFCS Standby Switch - OFF/Standby

Best regards,

Eduardo

Hi @Rudel_chw

I do not have the bottom two options as per your image in the A-4E-C

Any idea why not? Perhaps have a later version than you, 1.7 I think
