Damn… don’t know what to say, that really worked for me.  And as far as I can tell it’s done right… 😞

@SuperKermit I'm out of ideas. I don't have access to my computer currently. What's really strange is that listening is suspended before you release the TX. I need to ponder about this some more.

As last resort I would try other buttons and if this doesn't work, I would start from scratch with a new configuration. I have no other ideas left. :dunno:

Thanks again for your continued support, guys! I think I will do a complete wipe of VA and VCP.

Is the deinstallation via Windows sufficient or do I need to remove any leftovers manually?

i guess you might have stuff in the installation director and under %Appdata% and other appdata directories ?

For VAICOM you just delete the folder in VoiceAttack folders.
For VoiceAttack, there are some stuff on Appdata, like Speed says. Mostly backups and settings IIRC.

I hope it works for Super Kermit. I did a complete reinstall after using REVO Uninstaller to clear all remnants and no different result.

It finally did! 😅

However, uninstalling VCP via the Windows was not enough. I manually had to delete the VCP folder in the VA folder as @MAXsenna advised.

I would like to thank again everybody involved in solving my issue and helping with ideas!

Glad SK resolved his problem.

One thing I'm curious about is this in the VCP user manual concerning PTT: "NOTE: Make sure you get this right for each press/release combo. You’ll notice that the Release commands have this option selected: ‘shortcut is invoked only when all keys/buttons are released’." Where is this to be found and checked as advised in the manual?

Are you asking for an explanation of some sorts? Those settings come with the default profile. The workaround trick provided by @Azmodan might get incorporated in the future as a default. For current users it needs to be added manually.

Cheers!

Yup, happy it works for you again, after a long time of experimenting :weight_lift:
I was interested in this thread, I had similar problems in the past, but got it somehow "sorted out" by doing this and that, and by then avoiding the software for about a year or so. I did not remove and start from scratch though.
It's good to know that at least this "hard reset" of VAICOM is good enough to get rid of the problem your machine had.
