Quatapus Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 Is the latest and most up-to-date version of the manual the one that is downloaded with the module, or is a better version availab.e somewhere else?

AFAIK the WIP RC6 (release candidate 6) manual is the most up to date version. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AGcHNSQVgcicmc-bWUrB7FffXWLW9fW4/view?usp=sharing and is found in the 1st post of the update thread. Although you'll still find some good info in Chuck's Guide (June 2021) if new to the Mirage https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jmp9ueZo9xOPyGzo3YO0AnFYEH-5Iotr/view i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440
Quatapus Posted December 5, 2021 Author Posted December 5, 2021 thank you very much! Don't know how I missed that tiny link on the wall of text!
wowbagger Posted December 11, 2021 Posted December 11, 2021 (edited) Edit : (disregard, my mistake) Wish the official forums could be used as intended. Multiple sources for this kind of thing is pointless, and slightly frustrating. Edited December 11, 2021 by wowbagger no sig
myHelljumper Posted December 11, 2021 Posted December 11, 2021 Hi, I don't understand what you mean. The manual is in the module docs folder all well as in the update presentation post. What more should we have done ? Helljumper - M2000C Guru Helljumper's Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK3rTjezLUxPbWHvJJ3W2fA
wowbagger Posted December 11, 2021 Posted December 11, 2021 My mistake, because of the post above mine I was under the impression that latest manual was on discord, but not here. (There has been a precedent of information being posted to discord, but not here in the past). After double checking, I see that this is not the case. Sorry for the mistake on my part. no sig
Preendog Posted December 11, 2021 Posted December 11, 2021 To be fair, without reading the forums a new user wouldn't even know there was a manual at all (I didn't). This is a DCS problem. When you install a module the game does not invite you to read a manual. The manual is not shown in the encyclopedia or the module manager. You have to assume there is a manual somewhere and look through the file tree. You can search for the word "manual", if you know that the string is in the filename. If you somehow know to search for "M-2000" you find 13 folders, and only one of those contains another folder that contains the manual, but the folder is called "doc". Then the manual is only the one that downloaded with the module, and not the current one. And some modules only have a sparse WIP manual, and the player must rely on 3rd party guides. DCS has made strides for usability but this is an improvement area. 7 1
