New KA-50 Skins

Mitch i am working in my own skin for my squad mates and i need a little help.

 

Could you show me some tips to know the points where the different skin parts are fixed together?

 

Fos me is very hard to tell where to paint the same pattern in different parts of the PS template, where one stops and in which part of the another file the pattern continues. If you have some tips to help me about this you could made my work easier.

I think, it can be probably interesting to create Ka-50 skins for all ingame countries. It is not real indeed, but it maybe have a sense to share Ka-50 for all countries for multiplayer game for example.

Just a little side step here. If we fly MP and i have my own skin on my KA50, does everyone have to download it previously or will it upload to everyone before start so everyone can see my skin? Thanks.

That would be so cool. Maybe a fictional US marine gray,like on a Cobra.With teeth !

Very good work !

But.. how did you succed to change the laterals numbers ?? i didn't find any "nomera.tga" in my BS directory.

How can we do ?

 

I'm not 100% sure but maybe this lateral numbers are "painted" on the skin itself so they're independent from nomera.tga file

No, you can't remove the default numbers, even if you "paint" it on the skin itself, there must be a file for changing it.

Anyone could help here posting a guide " How to insert a new skin in BS"?

 

Well, now i have got a beta skin made in PS.

 

First question: How can i convert the PS format of the skin into CDDS?

Second Question: Which are the steps to insert the new skin into BS?

Third question: Which files need to be modify for using a new slot for the Ka-50 instead of the stock ones?

Mitch, sent you a skin request, not sure if you got it tho, here it is;

I would love a skin replicated on Swedens only attack helicopter - the HKP 9. I know there is a swedish camo skin in BS but its lacking the subtle details and markings of a good realistic skin.

Awesome Mitch, thanks for the PM. And to answer your question; Yes i would like all the details and markers that are on the HKP9 - blue/yellow-three-crowns, the orange stuff and everything else..even the "ARMÉN" text..;)

Not an easy skin to make, but thats why im asking you.
