Hello fellow VR users, i usally lurk this forum but today i am in need of help.

I have been using my q2 for a year now and been happy with it, however i have decided it is time to upgrade, the headsets i have been looking at are G2,Vive P2 and the Pimax 8kx.

I only use my headset for flying and driving cars even though i maybe once a year try something standing up so that is not something that is important to me. I have been watching a lot of videos and reading as much as possible but i still can not decide where i should i go from here. I know the Varjo is coming but i believe that would be too expensive me.

Excuse my english, i am from the north.

Reverb G2 I would highly recommend especially for flight and racing sims. Plus they have improved the cameras for better tracking for some of those made for VR games that use the controllers.

With no personal direct experience of the Q2, from what I've read....

The G2 whilst slightly better clarity than the Q2 is not leaps and bounds ahead and likely not worth the cash if you already have the Q2; more of a side grade than up grade if you like. From what I understand, the pimax has great fov but clarity suffers as a result.

I'm sure that there will be someone who can offer a better direct comparison but unless you're able to fork out the cost for the varjo then I think it will only be an incremental improvement.

Personally I have a G2 and clarity wise I would aliken it to pushing my nose against a 1080p monitor in terms of clarity. Moving up from a Lenovo explorer (great in it's own right, better than a rift S) the G2 trounces it completely if you have the horsepower to drive it.

Not sure G2 offers enough vs Q2 to justify upgrade.  Would just wait for next gen/iteration to come out short of being able to fork 3k for the varjo
