AggiAggi Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I have also the following problem with night vision: As soon as I press 'H' to activate the goggles the game freezes. I can then unfreeze by pressing 'H' again. If I do not press 'H' again it takes about ten seconds and then my PC reboots. Thank you for your help. My configuration: 1. Processor: AMD 2800 2. Motherboard: Soltek FRN752-L 3. RAM: 1 GB 4. Video Card and Driver version: MSI NX 7600 GS AGP, latest driver (which is rather old) 5. Operating System and installed updates/service packs: Windows XP SP 3 6. DirectX version: 9.0
Slippery Pete Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 I was about to make a new topic (thought I was the only one with this problem). When I use NVGs the frame rate cuts in half and I lose AA. But the thing is this wasnt happening when I first installed it on my new PC build just a couple of weeks ago. Well I think I always lost AA but the frames never dropped. I even played online with NVGs and high FPS. It's like I've downloaded something or something was changed that's causing a conflict. Im going to re-install Windows XP and see if that fixes it.
EvilBivol-1 Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Try turning off any AA/AF in the video drivers and post here if that helps. 1 - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules

Rob2222 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I had the same problem with really bad frames in ground near and with NVG when NVG looked at the ABRIS/SHKVAL. I switched effects in options.lua from 3 to 2 but I think the main reason was that I had anti-aliasing and anisotropric filtering global to 4x both in nvidia drivers. I switched both of (making a DCS profile) and all fps problem are gone. BR and thx for the tip Robert
