I just tried the night vision while in 159th server and my framerate was terrible the moment I turned it on. From 42fps normal to 6fps with NVG on :noexpression:

Same for me. At the beginning of the mission it works fine but after 20 mins of flying when i activate NVG my fps goes from 35 to 8

I have also the following problem with night vision:

As soon as I press 'H' to activate the goggles the game freezes. I can then unfreeze by pressing 'H' again. If I do not press 'H' again it takes about ten seconds and then my PC reboots.

Thank you for your help.

My configuration:

1. Processor: AMD 2800

2. Motherboard: Soltek FRN752-L

3. RAM: 1 GB

4. Video Card and Driver version: MSI NX 7600 GS AGP, latest driver (which is rather old)

5. Operating System and installed updates/service packs: Windows XP SP 3

6. DirectX version: 9.0

I was about to make a new topic (thought I was the only one with this problem). When I use NVGs the frame rate cuts in half and I lose AA. But the thing is this wasnt happening when I first installed it on my new PC build just a couple of weeks ago. Well I think I always lost AA but the frames never dropped. I even played online with NVGs and high FPS. It's like I've downloaded something or something was changed that's causing a conflict. Im going to re-install Windows XP and see if that fixes it.

Try turning off any AA/AF in the video drivers and post here if that helps.

Disabling AA/AF solved the problem for me.

Thanks mate.

Cheers

I had the same problem with really bad frames in ground near and with NVG when NVG looked at the ABRIS/SHKVAL. I switched effects in options.lua from 3 to 2 but I think the main reason was that I had anti-aliasing and anisotropric filtering global to 4x both in nvidia drivers.

I switched both of (making a DCS profile) and all fps problem are gone.

BR and thx for the tip

Robert
