dresoccer4 Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 I'm having trouble getting Petrovich to give me a target list. Check out this screenshot. I'm very close to a line of enemy armor. I'm pressing 'W-short' and all he does is move the crosshairs to where I'm looking. I'm following Chuck's Guide and he says tapping 'W-short' will bring up a target list which you can choose your target from. But it never happens. Is this bugged or am I missing a step? unknown Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 (edited) Looks like you put Petrovich in "free fire mode" - that is W long. (green colour around the boxes) It works for me and should look like in the screenshot below: Edited December 17, 2021 by unknown Modules: KA-50, A-10C, FC3, UH-1H, MI-8MTV2, CA, MIG-21bis, FW-190D9, Bf-109K4, F-86F, MIG-15bis, M-2000C, SA342 Gazelle, AJS-37 Viggen, F/A-18C, F-14, C-101, FW-190A8, F-16C, F-5E, JF-17, SC, Mi-24P Hind, AH-64D Apache, Mirage F1, F-4E Phantom II System: Win 11 Pro 64bit, Ryzen 3800X, 32gb RAM DDR4-3200, PowerColor Radeon RX 6900XT Red Devil ,1 x Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 2TB NVMe, 2 x Samsung SSD 2TB + 1TB SATA, MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals - VIRPIL T-50CM and VIRPIL MongoosT-50 Throttle - HP Reverg G2, using only the latest Open Beta, DCS settings

Looks like the time of the day that you are flight is too dark for Petrovich find the targets. If that's so you will need to illuminate them with illumination rockets (or JTAC scripts to pop illumination flares) or wait for ED to make Petrovich put down the sunglasses in low light conditions. 1

dresoccer4 Posted December 29, 2021 Author Posted December 29, 2021 i tried this at 10am in late december and cloudy. what's the rule for petrovich to be able to see and give targets? i mean they're 1 mile right in front of me but he won't provide a target list. is it the cloud cover? does it have to be clear? trying to figure out the rules here Acer Predator Triton 700 || i7-7700HQ || 512GB SSD || 32GB RAM || GTX1080 Max-Q || FFB II and Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle || All DCS Modules

Instead enables Petrovich to launch the missile as soon as conditions are met and not waiting for your consent (trigger). Petrovich silently just moving the crosshair over the assigned point during 'daylight' was a bug, apparently solved in the 2.7.9.18080 patch Fixed Petrovich AI stopping to react at short up command in ATGM sight CMBT mod Also see this from the 2.7.7.15038 changelog Petrovich AI Target acquisition code refactoring (Petrovich now will not acquire targets in the night or dark enough environment. Petrovich will see targets in dark environments if illumination flares are used. Petrovich will see targets behind some obstructions that were blocking acquisition before but geometrically were not covering the target.). Known issue: in some specific relatively good light conditions Petrovich acquiring targets too close. Adjustments WIP. 1

Meaning he was not aligning towards where you sight is pointing.
