Version 1.0 Stability

It might have been a while, but better to take longer and release a stable product than rush and release a sub-standard product.

 

I remember the original release of Lock On 1.0 and it was awful...1.02 did a pretty good job but not brill. Flaming Cliffs (1.1) was extremely stable and a credit to ED, which I think went a long way to support its longevity. (1.11 and 1.12a was just faffing about changing a few things for those who 'fed back' about missile performance etc...and still stable!)

 

So far DCS BS 1.0 is very stable, and also a credit to ED.

 

I'd still rather they take longer to release a stable product than rush a piece of crap out. I say this as a hugely keen customer of a heli flight sim (I also have 3 collective-pitch radio controlled nitro helicopters...which I think make me a huge heli-fan).

 

ED still get my reps for a stable release. Thanks also to all the testers ;)

 

Agree, version 1.0 is veeery stable. It is like heaven compared to example LO 1.0 which was terrible. Plus for ED.

All other games are stable. And my computer is just 3 months old.

No, uninstalled shark just before i read your answer :doh:

 

 

 

90% time black shark crashes when my chopper hits ground and explodes,some times just when i start engines or when i leave mission (esc key) --> error box. :(

 

My friend also has same kind of crashes, we have x-52pro joysticks and he says that game no more crashes if he uses different joystick.

 

Well, i install shark now and try to play some missions with my old cheap logitech joystick..

 

Im prety sure that saitek x52pros xp drivers cause shark ctd. :mad:

Hey Haukka, if the problems persists, could you please start a new thread in the bugs section and provide a complete bug report, including the error message and crash logs? This way it will be easier for the devs/testers to keep track of your problem and help you.

Sure. I just completed my 5th misson after re-install, no ctd or any erros yet. :joystick: I use now my old logitech joystic.

 

I will fly more and then switch back to x52pro hotas, if it causes bugs i will make new thread.

Yep agree very stable release and smooth, although my experience so far is get started, get airborne, crash into ground ;) Can't seem to master the keyboard input, can't wait for my new sticks to arrive.

 

Only complaint is don't sit your laptop on your lap while playing, you might burn something else!!

Version 1.0 of Black Shark is the MOST STABLE release version of ANY simulation of this type that I can remember and I have had them all. :thumbup:

 

I don't think so, 2 days ago i found a problem in Black Shark v1.0 - it's very similar to an old bug in LOMAC (not frequently appear in LOFC):

BS suddenly slow down performance and just run at...1 fps and the Ka-50 cockpit changed into transparent, some things were black and white colors, so what i need to do was restart the game :D

maybe you hit a keycombo by accident and engaged the 1fps mode which is also present in lockon. check the key assignements.
