[FIXED] C-802AK strange pitch up after release

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

C-802AK randomly pitches up after release and climb to 30k-40k ft.

these conditions add up to the probability of the bug (but not necessary) :

second missile on the same target

DIR target designated with SEA1 or SEA2

      HIGH or MED cruise altitude

      released below selected cruise altitude

The problem may happen under other conditions, and no other regularity found.

Usually this cause a miss and short range, or a strange and comical terminal trajectory like a ballistic missile if not.

Does anyone see my FF Su-27? It's about 22m in length and 15m in width.

It should be here! I saw it just now! Anyone touched it?

What? I'm dreaming?

I just tested this and got the same result. I fired an AK from 55 miles in DIR mode without a radar lock and it lofted to 40k feet, it then came crashing down on top of the ship, as you wrote, like a ballistic missile.

If I locked on using the radar it seemed ok.

I've found it happens about 1/2 the time on the anti-ship training mission. That's with the flight profile set to low. And when it occurs the missile does eventually return to its 50 m specified altitude before reaching the target, but then overflys the target without impacting it.
