Prova a vedere se con il radar spento va meglio. 

 

Heatblur riporta che stanno lavorando ad un bug-fix che riguarda proprio una insolita perdita di FPS con il radar acceso, in alcune condizioni.

Si effetivamente a radar spento i frame tornano ad essere quelli previsti.

Dovro attendera questa fix allora

Allora con la richiesta al WSO di mettere il radar in standby passo da 20 a 40 non affatto stabili ma sicuramente molto meglio.

@komemiute sai quali sarebbero le particolari condizioni? Presenza di particolare HW o di qualche mod o SW?

Purtroppo non c'è un consenso unanime su questo - la situazione varia molto da PC a PC. 

Il che mi lascia supporre che sia un "problema" di programmazione.  Qualcosa che non é ottimizzato al 100%

Come Close Beta Tester non ho avuto mai problemi ma è anche vero che volo solo in 2D.

Dopo l'ultimo update e con il rilascio dell'F-4 anch'io ho notato un calo di FPS, spero che la situazione sia stata segnalata.

Ho rilasciato diversi carichi, inclusi i serbatoi, senza avere problemi: la procedura è praticamente identica a quella dell'Hornet, selezioni le stazioni da cui vuoi sganciare i carichi (LO, LI, CTR, RI o RO), poi ruoti il selettore circolare sulla posizione "Stores" (è quella in basso, "a ore 6" per intendersi) e premi il pulsante.

*** DCS F-4E Updates incoming! ****

Most of last year was focused on bug fixing, improvements and a lot of underlying core and structural changes to our codebases in order to improve it for the future Phantom updates and to port features to other modules; as well as the launch of some new content in the form of the F-4E Campaign. This year, we’ve turned our attention back to feature development, and it's time to start shipping new features! 

We’ll be starting off next month with shipping JESTER modding capability, and opening up the API to the community. JESTER is built to be an extensible, modular SDK based around intuitive LUA scripting workflows to model “human-like” crew-members for high fidelity aircraft modules. You will be able to override and extend almost any part of JESTER AI, creating entire new routines, interesting mission or campaign content or more. We can’t wait to see what you do with JESTER!

Another improvement coming soon is the addition of the first pass of character customization. Initially, this will be based on presets, with the next iteration of this feature being able to customize each preset or create a custom one with the exact setup of flight gear that you want. At that time we’ll also be introducing new flight gear, such as new helmet types, new flight suits and more. Eventually this system will be ported to the F-14 as well.

More visual elements and some associated functionality are also on their way; such as the “Dogbone” gun-camera (and eventually gun-camera functionality), as well as additional visual customization options for e.g. Greek Phantoms! These include the external refueling probe used by Israeli Phantoms, the removal of the “football” antenna on the tail or addition of the newer generation one, as well as plenty of other bits and bobs. Where feasible and relevant for an F-4E as depicted by our module, these visual options will be functional, and where otherwise not relevant they will simply be visual additions for a more accurate representation of national Phantoms. 

Work has also begun on “Jester Pod” - JESTER being able to utilize the Pave Spike targeting pod! This will be very helpful in Singleplayer, where you’ll be able to rely more on your backseater to get crosshairs on target and precision strike using this early targeting pod. We expect this feature to be finished in April but may be included in a later patch.

We’re also finally putting our finishing touches on the F-4 Paint Kit, allowing you to better create new liveries for yourself and the community. We’ll also be soon adding a decal layer on top of the surface of the aircraft, for easy customization of many aircraft modexes. 

Stay tuned for more Phantom updates throughout the year as we add new novel features to the Phantom, and start adding new features as part of the DMAS upgrade package. Does someone know how to increase the font size of the lessons white board on the left (see attached screen shot below) ?

You have to edit the images inside the .miz contained in DCS World\Mods\aircraft\F-4E\Missions\Training\ folder (open with 7zip, go to KNEEBOARD\IMAGES\ , extract and resize images with an editor, overwrite the images in the .miz with the new ones).

It's better to ask these questions in the Heatblur section, so they're aware of a potential readability issue.

Ah ok, so the displayed text is actually an image which must be resized, not just plain text. Thanks.

Is there any command or patch how to disable this annoying music at the beginning of each lesson? Spacebar sometimes does not seem to work. I would also like to disable it by default.

The images are shown at 70% of DCS windowsize.
You have two options:

  • "Normal means": Remove them via COMMS menu > F-10 Other > "Disable pictures" and use the ones in your kneeboard; the kneeboard size can be changed via mouse.
  • "Hack": Load the mission into mission editor and change all cyan triggers starting with "SWITCHED CONDITION (Enable pictures T0x X) and set the TRIGGER ACTION "PICTURE TO ALL" to higher values.

Yes.

But I guess the reason for that is because <spacebar> only works if ALL other conditions are met. You can't just skip steps with <spacebar>. No shortcuts allowed. Sometimes these conditions must be set several steps before.
