New Theater Map for DCS - wishlist

We know, in the 2022 & Beyond video there is a coordinate that contains a lot of meaning, Of course we don't know exactly what the coordinates mean other than ED. 

But when we hope it's allowed, right? 

I made some theater map lists that might be new theaters or references to Dev.

Afghanistan Map, Reference ,

Why? Of course there is possible Apache & Hind scenarios.

 

Bosnia Map, Reference,

Why? There is some scenario that can be recreate and also the vegetation and environment is different. I think it's including Balkans ofc

 

Indonesia Map, Reference,

Why? because DCS asset are possible to recreate several conflict in Indonesia.

 

Vietnam Map, Reference,

Why? with upcoming F-4 and A-6, it's possible to create several scenarios there, also we've Huey too!

 

Additionally from me, Indonesia and Vietnam are quite potential with DCS modules and assets that currently exist.

Africa is the largest continent in the world, and sadly one of the most conflict riddled, SO many theatre of ops options are open there.

1. Afghanistan- Many compatible modules, from the 1980s soviet war, all the way to recent periods. 
2. Bosnia- If it also includes more Balkan countries and parts of Italy, same story, recreation of recent conflicts besides the variation and interesting terrain. 
3. Vietnam- Well, obviously for the Vietnam war and potential modern conflicts surrounding the "south china sea"
4. Afrika- You know that Afrika HUGE, but speaking about Afrika, i would love a Northern Afrika map, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, you name it, a Rhodesia map would be interesting to.
5. Pakistan/India- I would combine them together and focus on the North-Western part, since we have the JF-17 and many other aircrafts relevant to the theatre, it could be interesting.
6. Indonesia- Might be interesting, same story as the Vietnam map, relevant happening in the South China sea, but last on my list.

I would have voted Vietnam, but the map depicted most probably isn't feasible. Plus, we'd be missing a lot of modules, which would require quite an endeavour to make a viable SEA War module/ terrain.

 

Almost forgot: I voted "Africa" instead. And make that a the tropic part of Africa. Plenty of sandy maps already.

Rhodesia-Zimbabwe map, set in the 80's (that's when the country was called "Rhodesia-Zimbabwe"
then it would fit the following aircraft: Uh-1, Alouette 2/3, spitfire, Canberra, O-2, vampire, hawker hunter, along with a bunch more and also for opfor, MiG-21, An-26, Mi-8 Gaz, MI-24, L-39
its the perfect part of Africa because it combines rain forest, bush, plains, mountain's, and more, also Raz is working on a Canberra ai they want to make FF one day so we could play green leader,
also the map could be made smaller with just Rhodesia-Zimbabwe, a bit of Mozambique and Zambia
(edit: there are alot of great video i could link to shwo the terrain but most of them are war documentary's so they have photos of dead people and thus i will not share them, you can find them on YouTube your self, here is 2 photo's tho, also a Rho-zim map opens up some great options for tekies)

I agree. Afghanistan and Bosnia looks suitable. Different environment might be interesting in Vietnam & Indonesia

That would be an awesome map - mostly because we'd have lots of conflicted factions (plus a tiny patch of water to fly off carriers off).

yea, thats why i expanded that image so far to the east, just a little patch of water would do to really bring the whole map together as a great mix of every thing you could want

Without Eastern Europe (Baltic) with a Cold War scenario, this list sucks.

1. Central Europe circa 80s (can't believe you missed out that one! ) preferably Germany (either focusing on the North German Plain or Fulda Gap, or preferably both) - plenty of our current assets would fit on this map as they are.
2. Baltic Sea - offers the most with the assets we've got, but this map is likely infeasible at the moment, owing to how gigantic it would be if you include the major players in the region.
3. GIUK gap, including all of Iceland, the Faroes, the Shetlands and possibly reaching into Scotland (at least as far as RAF Kinloss, but preferably RAF Leuchars), this one has the advantage of being a map that should in theory be relatively easier to create, owing to the small landmasses but also the fact that the landmasses (unlike the Marianas) is sparsely populated with objects. The main problem is the lack of naval environment and period REDFOR air assets (namely variants of the Tu-16). Though IMO, we need to ditch the flat Earth maps.
4. Afghanistan, I'm more inclined to go Soviet-Afghan war era than something more modern, but I'll take either.
5. Balkans - namely for the ODF missions in the 90s, though we're missing suitable F-16 variants (namely a CG block 40).

I would put Vietnam at #6, but the map so far doesn't have an appropriate module, and future modules/assets (apart from the F-8J) are looking like post Vietnam variants. The map would also be gigantic, while also have an object density like the Marianas.

I voted for Vietnam, in no small part because I could only select one.

 

Here is my wish list

Germany- for cold war gone hot scenarios

Korea 

Kursk- start a WWII east front

 India / Pakistan would be a good one for the Jeff.
