Lowlyslows Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 (edited) Hey all, So I have always played DCS on Steam but recently switched to standalone after I found out that I could test modules out. Graphic settings between steam and standalone are exactly the same and standalone looked great on my 4k monitor. However, when I switched to VR from TrackIR something changed. I usually build missions within the editor using TrackIR and play on VR. Now the graphics without VR look terrible and I can't figure out why. Has this happened to anyone else? ED Team BIGNEWY Posted January 5, 2022 ED Team Posted January 5, 2022 Hi, you seem to be running different resolutions, have you checked the settings and saved them for stand alone version? silverdevil Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 @Lowlyslows - there is a file in %userprofile%\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\config.lua that should be in both steam and stand alone (not sure where in steam) that you can compare the two in a text editor (WordPad, NotePad, etc). good luck. Hi BIGNEWY! Yes, they are the same. That's what I thought also but I matched the settings from steam to standalone exactly the same, no change. 2 hours ago, silverdevil said: @Lowlyslows - there is a file in %userprofile%\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\config.lua that should be in both steam and stand alone (not sure where in steam) that you can compare the two in a text editor (WordPad, NotePad, etc). good luck. I'll try that later tonight, thanks!

Make sure your windows explorer shows you all file types - as I can see on your screenshots, the file extensions are not displayed. In the option menu of your windows explorer/file explorer you can change it and make the explorer to show all file types and especially hidden files. Without this, you hardly get at chance to see all files.
