Jarhead0331 Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 I've tried this on two different rigs and I notice the same problem on both. Clouds now look flat and there are some strange lines along the edges of the clouds. It is hard to describe, but I'm not sure how to get a good screen capture in VR. Does this sound like a known issue? Thanks.
medway Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 Was going to post this too. Assetto Corsa has a mod for clouds that do the same exact thing (maybe using same algo). In that you can just select another cloud type realtime in game and it will re-render and fix it. Do your lines look like a box is around the cloud (with the lines defined on the edges?)
azzhat Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 I have had the problem since the clouds were introduced with the rift S. ED has asked for video but I do not know if they have acknowledged it as a known issue. As you stated It is incredibly difficult to replicate what is being seen in the headset. It is less prevalent on my G2 due to the higher res but it is a bridge to far for my rig to handle. My complete guess is that if it is addressed it will happen after the move to Vulcan. There is a thread called "cloud jitter and movement" that might be about what you are experiencing.
ED Team NineLine Posted July 20, 2022 ED Team Posted July 20, 2022 I would need to see examples and tracks if you are still seeing an issue. Also remember they are not in their final state, they are WIP. Thanks Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
