epoch Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 When instructing an AI helo to land on the ground could we have an option for them to shutdown too? At the moment, adding the action Perform Task:Land will get the helo onto the ground, but they'll keep their engines running. That's noisy and not very green! Note I'm referring to the advanced waypoint action landing, and not the generic landing at an airbase. 3

Tank50us Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 If you have them land with no option to take back off again, they'll shut down on their own after a few minutes, especially if that's their last waypoint.
FlankerKiller Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 Definitely need this. And make it available for the Harrier as well.

The way I've seen it happen is when you have the 'time on ground' box unchecked, and this be the final waypoint. I also think there's a 'shut down' command in the delayed triggers options, so that could be worth looking into, which I'll look into later. 1

I'm not seeing a shut down command/task in delayed triggers. In my test the landing command is the final waypoint. I don't see a 'time on ground' checkbox, but if you're referring to the 'On land' checkbox, that's unchecked. So yeah, if you have some time later to take a look then that would be great. Nevertheless, an option in the advanced waypoint actions would still be a neater, simpler solution!

Yeah, having the waypoint option wouldn't be a bad thing to have in the future. 1
Eight Ball Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 (edited) What you can do is place an invisible farp where you want the helo to land and use the generic landing waypoint. If you want the ability for the chopper to take-off again you can use the LandingReFuAr and set the timer accordingly Edited January 29, 2022 by Eight Ball 2 Find The Links To All My Mods And Liveries Here (in the gallery)

The only downside of that is you have to be careful on placement. For example, place it too near a hangar on the map and said hangar will not appear in game. Still, a workable solution, but hopefully ED can implement the feature requested. 2
