Nightmare22 Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 It doesn't matter which terrain I fly or what aircraft but every time I load into a mission, online or otherwise it seems to take ages to render the ground terrain, the aircraft textures and even the F10 Map. Once it's rendered it tends to run absolutely fine but I find myself reserving 5-10 minutes at the start of every map pressing F2 to force render the scenery around and including other aircraft in an effort to buffer the textures - it never used to be like this anyone ANY ideas please!? I'm using head tracking and a 4K TV for my setup, I've not heard of kegetys is it something that still might be worth researching?
speed-of-heat Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 It’s a VR specific mod, so unlikely to affect you, but has the same symptoms.. 1 SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
silverdevil Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 @Nightmare22 - not sure this will affect your issue but what about page file settings. 32 GB RAM is generally enough but depending on mission / map, it may not be enough. have a look at this Page File AKA_SilverDevil Join AKA Wardogs Email Address My YouTube “The MIGS came up, the MIGS were aggressive, we tangled, they lost.” - Robin Olds - An American fighter pilot.
