Tanuki44 Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Hello, I'm starting to model with Blender and I have a problem with the colors. The colors I choose in Blender appear very different in DCS, in general much clearer and the lighting removes the relief of the mesh. Can anyone help me? Thanks
golani79 Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Can you post some pictures? What do you mean with relief? - normal map? Are you using PBR materials for your objects? >> DCS liveries by golani79 <<
Tanuki44 Posted March 13, 2022 Author Posted March 13, 2022 For the moment in my learning, I only tried with basic colors without material, what is PBR materiel ? I'm mostly trying to figure out why the shades are so different, (brown => yellow) Thanks In Blender/Layout In Blender/Shading In ModelViewer2 In DCS
razo+r Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physically_based_rendering It looks different because (I assume) you only have assigned a texture for your model in DCS, whereas you can use / need a second texture with the addition of "YourTextureName_Roughmet" in order to get the proper shading that you want.
Tanuki44 Posted March 13, 2022 Author Posted March 13, 2022 I suspect that my inexperience is to blame. Thanks for this info, I am looking for any good tutorial to learn. I've already managed to integrate my mod into the aircraft, sure my artistic side is the worst. Thank you for your answers.
Tanuki44 Posted April 13, 2022 Author Posted April 13, 2022 Thank you for these explanations, I advanced and watched your tutorial concerning the animation Then, once the arguments are OK and functional under ModelViewer2, is there a tuto to exploit the arguments and how to make an automatic animation under DCS, like a spinning radar, a human moving his head etc ...
