JG27_Arklight Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 Looking at some of the preview vids and the pilot figures (from the outside) look really small compared to real life. :/ Ark ------------------ Windows 10 Pro x64 9900K @ 5ghz Gigabyte Aorus Master Z390 32GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB CAS 14 EVGA RTX 2080 Ti Ultra XC2 256gb Samsung 869 Pro (Boot Drive) 1TB - Samsung 970 EVO Plus Seasoninc 1000w Titanium Ultra PSU 34" ASUS PG348

See this: I think they are ok (a little different angle), maybe a pilot is a little too low: Webmaster of http://www.yoyosims.pl Win 10 64, i9-13900 KF, RTX 5090 32Gb OC, RAM 64Gb Corsair Vengeance LED OC@3600MHz,, 3xSSD+3xSSD M.2 NVMe, Predator XB271HU res.2560x1440 27'' G-sync, Sound Blaster Z + 5.1, TiR5, [MSFS, P3Dv5, DCS, RoF, Condor2, IL-2 CoD/BoX] VR fly only: Meta Quest Pro

kgillers3 Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 So this is A. subjective because Pilots come in all shapes and sizes and b. the seat has vertical adjustment so how high or low someone sits is largely dependent on what they like and what's going on around them. I think the pilots look fine, I'm sure someone will do some digital magic and scale it out to show that I'm wrong though so there's that. 3

Lol Normally I'd agree, but there's a noticeable difference in seemingly every picture I've seen. Not to mention, I'm guessing pilot helmets don't vary that much in physical size. The scale just looks off. Kampfer616 Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Also depends on if the pilot in the IRL photo was 5' 9'' or 6' 2''.

I hear you, but Im referring to not just the height, but the scale of the pilots in general. They just look too "small". TBH, the scale of the DCS Huey pilots is quite a ways off as well. This scale issue seems to be a thing. Lastly, for the record, my cousin was an Apache pilot and he's about 5'8" and he looked quite a bit bigger than the DCS pilot models. Kampfer616 Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 i think the angles provided from the real photos looks to be from greater than the 9 oclock, also those DCS photos provided appear to be slightly below the level plane. Those combined will make the pilots looks abit lower profile/smaller.

My Cousin was an Apache pilot as well and he's right around 5'8"/9'ish and he looks quite a bit different than the current in-game models as well from a scale perspective.
