reported Occupant controller bindings

OK, so i always have a controller input bound to an aircraft with multiple occupants so that i can switch between seat positions. For the AH-64, i can select the CPG position using my bound controller button, but once there, cannot return to the pilots position without having to press the 1 key on the keyboard. I have checked the controller bindings in the settings menu and they are all OK. Is this a known issue, or am i doing something wrong?
