I noticed that roll axis is not counted when drawing head tracker, aquisition sorce and FPM.

If you tilt your head, you will also rotate these symbols off where they should be.

Meanwhile, the FLIR image do counteract to your head rotation, while the bound of the image doesn't. I doubt the sensor has the ability to roll on roll axis.

I would also like to know if this is correct or still not implemented properly. Another question would be if there is an additional fixed mode where the hud symbology stays fixed forward regardless turning your head.

That is actually how it is in the real thing. No roll or pitch compensation.

It is the LOS reticle (the crosshair) in relation to the horizon marking (in transition and cruise mode symbology) that tells you your attitude.

There is no roll axis in the IHADSS helmet tracking, just pitch and yaw axis.

Afterburners are for wussies...hang around the battlefield and dodge tracers like a man.

That's interesting. Then I need to keep in mind that always keep the head upright. I feel caged.

Then what about the FLIR?

Yeah, that shouldn't happen. Probably WIP, but I don't speak for the dev team.

Well, I could live with the symbology rolling, but if the FLIR image also rolls with the helmet, the usability of PNVS would decrease considerably. I mean, how could they approve such a design in the first place🤣
