When I'm playing in single player, if I do the full cold start, or if I do the pre-started missions, it's always the same once i'm in fly mode. Once I release my parking brakes, I roll backwards. I grab for altitude, I spin around, and start fishtailing through the air. I can't null the rudder at all.

I restart the mission from cold start. I don't touch anything. I don't even turn on the battery. Instead of whirling up, I simply apply collective. And as Smeagol would say, "Up up UP we goes!", into the wild blue yonder. I'm doing Mach 1 before 20k ft, and I have screenshots posted in the Steam forum, and tried describing it but nobody was listening. Nobody in game online knew what I was talking about either.

I reinstalled it, with the same results. I'm currently reinstalling again, the open beta version.

 

 

I might add, I actually broke 90,000 ft, but I don't have a screenshot. I recorded that sortie, though. The only reason I didn't go higher is because the pilot suffocated.

I rather suspect that the best thing to do is attach a track of it happening.

Your first problem is game mode I reckon, I read somewhere it's borked atm.

I don't have a track of the engines on, only the sortie with the engines off. However, It's finished reinstalling, so I'm going to test it and see what happens

When you exit the mission  and go to the summary screen there's a button at the bottom that says something like "Save Track." Do that, and then attach it whenever you make a bug report if you can. Really helps the guys at ED see what's going on.

I just tested again, and same issue. I have a track of that as well. How do I attach them?

you can just drag the track file into a message here on the forum

When I try to do that, it just dumps a copy into my download folder.

Wait never mind, I know what was causing that. But it's still doesn't seem to be dropping into the window for me.

I believe you are dragging them to the wrong spot.

 

Try the green area here. If you drag it to outside of the reply box, it will do the download thing.

It's possible, there may be a minimum time for the account to gain that access.

Check that these options are not ticked and then try flying again.

Yes, as stated, sounds like you have Game Mode enabled, Game Mode is not working well... or too well depending on your point of view.

GameMode in DCS... Never knew why there is that option?

Didn't they want to start this "gaming lockon on thing..." some time ago? Hope they realized that nobody wants this. People who don't want to "fly" will go and play warthunder or what those arcade games are called. What we see here, is the fair punishment of "checking gamemode" and easy "avionics" in DCS!

 

Just kidding mate. You'll get the hang of it and it's such a joy to whip this beast through the caucasian valleys at treetoplevel or even a little underneath.

In VR when diving down a hill, it feels like you are falling into that valley. AWESOME!

Make sure you get an extension on your cyclic stick!

All you lucky guys using the TM TPR's, get the "DAMPER MOD KIT" on it! Add it and remove the springs to have some real acting anti-torque pedals that don't need to be trimmed any more. In Jets you can leave the springs. The Centering mechanism works much smoother.
