Hi All,

Not sure if I am allowed to publish this type of thread on the forums, but just in case I am allowed;

I have put Version v.01b of my AH-64D Apache (Pilot Only currently) StreamDeck XL profile on the User Files section of the main site. If interested, you can find it here - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321515/

I hope you like it

I am trying to get my Apache Helios profile and your new Apache interface profile for the Apache to run together.  I thought I had solved this problem, but apparently not.  In my Scripts>export.lua file I have Helios as the first entry and the DCS  ExportScripts  as the last entry.  Separately, both work fine. But together, no joy.  I hate to have to pick one over the other.  Any thoughts?

HI sobe,

Unfortunately, I am not well versed enough in the ability to diagnose issues when it comes to your scenario. Could it be something to do with the ports that they work on. I remember when watching the setup video from Charles Tytler, where he talks about if you want to run StreamDeck as well as another 3rd Party device or service/software at the same time

Sorry that I can't be more helpful, I promise you that I would if I could

Hey @sobe, I don't want to hijack Toni's thread but I was just curious if you're still having a problem with getting both the StreamDeck and Helios to work for you.

I tested a variety of Helios profiles and StreamDeck profiles this evening but I wasn't able to recreate your issue on my end. My Export.lua looks like yours so I don't see any issue there.

What about your Config.lua file in the Scripts\DCS-ExportScript folder? Does yours look like:

-- Ikarus a Glass Cockpit Software
ExportScript.Config.IkarusExport = true -- false for not use
ExportScript.Config.IkarusHost      = "127.0.0.1"  -- IP for Ikarus
ExportScript.Config.IkarusPort      = 1725         -- Port Ikarus (1625)
ExportScript.Config.IkarusSeparator = ":"

Just a shot in the dark but hopefully we can get you up and running.

I changed my config file to match your file and still no joy.  I don't know what else to do.  I would really like to run both at the same time, but the G_ds seem to be against that.  Perhaps we could get together over Teamviewer or discord to try to figure this out.

@sobe I guess you already have tried this, but in case you haven't, I have myself found that running my StreamDeck XL and DCS OpenBeta both as Admin has solved an issue that I was having recently, never before, but something had changed

Anyway, worked for me, thought I would suggest it

Also, version v.01d is released. Contains enhanced functionality, as well as many fixes / corrections

No joy in admin mode. In the Streamdeack app, I can see the DCS Interface and its subcontrols listed on the right side of the app so I assume that it is properly installed and I know that Helios works so I am at a loss.

There is an old saying in the flight sim community:  it is the man not the pedals that make a pilot.  I was hoping for the opposite with the Apache.

Well, this man is not in control of this pedals or stick in any productive way. I have flown helis for a long time, inc SA-342, UH-1 and UH-60L, and never experienced anything like this

I am so desperate to try and harness this bird, but for now she is beating me in all kinds of ways. I have flown her everyday since day one, and she generally feels like something is very very wrong

Anyway, enough frustration venting, does not help you with your issue, apologies for rambling

I have double confirmed that by itself, DCS, Streamdeck, the Apache profile, DCS-bios, the exportscripts stuff and Helios work alone.  It is only when I combine all the forgoing and Helios that neither Helios nor the Streamdeck work.

Hi All,

Just to let you all know that I have just uploaded version 01e of my StreamDeck XL Profile. I have started to go through the Cold Startup routine based on a document put together by Minky7 - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321322/

Version 01e can be found here - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321515/

I am moving on now to the Engine Start procedures now. The profile currently includes Pre Start, DMS Setup. All still very much work in progress

Hope you enjoy

I have had similar issues with simshaker and other mods. The solution that worked for me was to change the order or the relevant lines in the exports. Lua file

HI All,

I have just released Version 01f. You can find it here - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321515/

Here is the change log for this version

Version v01f –

1.     Made sure that all Keyboards in all screens/groups have the same content and format. This is with thanks to Jusif for pointing out the issues with showing an old keyboard pre-upgraded icon set

2.     Finished and added to ‘START-UP ROUTINE PART #1’, ‘START-UP ROUTINE PART #2’ and ‘WEAPONS CONFIG’

a.     ‘START-UP ROUTINE PART #1’ deals with DMS Config etc all on the right-hand MPD

b.     ‘START-UP ROUTINE PART #2’ deals with Engine Start routines and Post Start actions

c.     ‘WEAPONS CONFIG’ at this stage is for the configuration of the Chain Gun via the left-hand MPD

3.     Corrected some errors with various button configurations

4.     In some places you will see the button ‘123’. I have placed this in areas where I think the values to be entered from the Keyboard are likely to be numbers, such as radio frequencies etc. Again, this is only in trying to assist the user in the reduction of one extra button press on the StreamDeck itself

--------------------------------------

I hope you enjoy it and it proves useful to those who choose to use it

Hi All,

I have released the latest Pilot and now CPG profile. Version v01h (19/04/2022) can be located and downloaded from https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321515/

Primarily, it is the addition under the Radio Group, you can open the '\' menu and use 'F' Keys through the radio menu. I apologize for missing such an important menu system in the first place, should have been in version 01a.

I hope this meets with some approval, but I am more than willing to adapt it should people  have other organisational / grouping suggestions

Thank you

Toni

Ps. Does anyone know if I can change the title of this thread as I update the profile, obviously it is still showing as version 01b?

Hi All,

I have released the latest Pilot and now CPG profile. Version v01i (22/04/2022) can be located and downloaded from https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321515/

Primarily, it is the addition under the CMWS Group, there is a display button that shows the amount of Chaff & Flares remaining. Also, slight changes to the '\' menu access. It is now accessible from the Home Screen, again, only one step earlier access than having to go in to Radio group, which it is also still in

I hope this meets with some approval, but I am more than willing to adapt it should people  have other organisational / grouping suggestions

Hi All,

Just released a quick update version that rectifies an issue that must have been there since version b where the Pilot-->--Front-->--Fire Res was incorrectly mapped to Fire Test 2

So Version v01j is available at https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321515/

Bye for now
