Track file has been broken for years, but how can Youtubers like GS replay tracks accurately?

I watched lots of videos from Growling Sidewinder, a DCS Youtuber. I realize that his videos are all playback, not realtime. DCS playback function is known to be broken for years(maybe decades), how is Growling Sidewinder able to replay his tracks so accurately? It has to be a way to do it

@brucewhf

The way I do it is to make many short tracks of the various scenes from takeoff, maneuvers with various camera angles, etc. to landing.

I use air start to re-create scenes later in the mission, especially the landing. It all comes down to editing skilz.  SRsfa58.gif

Tracks under 5 to 10 minutes are best, but they will still break eventually.

I've done some test. I found that if I play in singleplayer mode, all tracks are broken, no matter how. If I play multiplayer mode, client tracks are usable, while server tracks are still broken.

@brucewhf run a dedicated server on your computer and join as if you are joining MP. it also helps with keeping resource usage down with lots of AI elements.

Some of it seems to depend on the module being used. I have noticed that tracks made with older modules

such as Su-33, UH-1H etc. are more stable. When I first got the Apache, I wanted to check my landings from an external view

but the tracks would break after no more than a minute. User mod tracks are also very bad and break even after a few seconds.

@silverdevil You may be right. I have heard that if you have a dedicated server, the tracks are more reliable.

Maybe that's how @Growling Sidewinder et al manage to do it.
